week commencing 20th July

Dear Parents and Carers

ILD’S

If your child is leaving don’t forget you can print their ILD’S, including the photos.

Unfortunately you can’t save the videos.

The ILD’S will be accessible for a month after your child leaves. After this time we will archive them.

Don’t forget to look at the ILD’S regularly as they are a great way of seeing your child’s progression and development as well as the fun they have at nursery.

You can also add your own notes, observations and photos.

I apologise that there are not as many observations this week as normal, there has been some app updates and these have meant that the ipads have been out of action for a little while.

Term Dates

The last day of term is Tuesday 21st July

Term starts again on Wednesday 2nd September

Please be aware that the funding does not start until 7th September.

week commencing 6th July

Dear Parents

Nursery News

So hopefully by now you all know that I am leaving (sob) but that Jess is the new Manager (hooray!)

My last day will be Friday 7th August. I will be keeping in touch so it won’t be the last you see of me!

I am very pleased to be leaving you in the very capable hands of Jess.

Charlotte will still remain as deputy as she still wants a very hands on role with the children.

We are currently recruiting for a new room leader for the preschool as well as a new third in charge and as soon as we know who this will be we will let you know.

Over the next few weeks Jess will be getting in the swing of things in the office and I will be spending some time at the new nursery.

Nursery Party

The plans for the Nursery’s 20th birthday party are in full swing.

The hog roast is booked, Eli our music teacher will be doing some sessions and the bouncy castle and balloon modeller are all lined up.

Please can you let us know if you will be coming so the hog roaster (not sure if that’s the correct term?) has enough food for everyone.

Road Closures

From 10th To 30th August there will be some work being done on the Castle ground wall.

This will mean that Castle Hill will become one way and Quarry Street will have a reduced width as the contractor work from their vehicles.

This will only be during the day 7.30-4.30 Monday to Friday but we all know what Guildford traffic can be like so it may have a knock on effect!

Sunflowers Graduation

The Sunflowers School Leavers Graduation is Thursday 16th July from 3.30-5pm.

We will be having a bouncy castle, party tea and the Graduation Ceremony will be 4.30-5pm.
